As far as dot timers go, I don't really use them. I use xperl and set my debuffs to be large, they have countdowns on the debuffs themselves and it's fairly easy to see when they are falling off while still watching my screen for fire n such.
I've never heard of this fortexorcist addon, I may have to check it out, sounds handy.
@cutting off MF: I usually don't cut it for dots, just to make sure they get that last tick off, however I usually cut it for MB. Seeing as how MB is our only CD ability, getting that off as many times as possible just seems to make the most sense. The sooner you blow it, the sooner it will be off of CD again. But as of late, w/ 4p t10 and the benefits of haste, I can get almost three MF's between MB cd's, assuming no dot refreshing. And just spamming MF doesn't seem to really lower my dps that much at first glance. Haven't really sat down with a dummy and tried to actually see the difference but I would think it's fairly negligable.
Kind of a MF side note: I've been using a MF cast sequence macro for awhile now, and I haven't really read anything about one or of anyone using one. As soon as I started using it, I fell in love. When you normally cast MF, any spell cast while channeling it will cut it off. This macro allows you to spam the MF button, which I find to be the most effective at getting the most off between MB cd's, without having MF cutoff the previous one. However, any other spell cast, dots or MB will cut it off. Not real good with macro's and there could be an easier way to do the same job, but I know this one works. Just a basic cast sequence macro, but it makes a big difference.
