Ret Paladin Summary 3.3

This thread I hope it turns into a 1 stop shop for all Ret paladin easyquestions. Most of the answers are copy and paste from EJ.

Spec.
Raiding Spec
Base Retribution Skeleton http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#sVZVZVf0xbIuhdIbsh + [Divine Storm]
From the Holy tree,
[Aura Mastery] useful for fights that involves spike damage of frost, shadow, or fire, otherwise dont get
From the Protection tree,
[Divinity] is helpful when you enjoy judging light all day long.
[Guardian's Favor] extra 4 seconds on Freedom isn't going to make or break it in most raids. It will let you dps 4 seconds longer while standing on Ice patch.
[Divine Sacrifice], redesigned in 3.3, this spell is now more useful than ever. Downside is that without the next talent [Divine Guardian], you aren't going to get the much mileage from that single point talent.
From the Retribution tree
[Vindication] is helpful but not mandatory. For 2 points, you can save the tank 5 points for the same affect. Depending on the raid buff/debuff, this maybe me important enough on progression.
[Swift Retribution] is the least interesting talent for the yourself, but damn important for the raid. If your raid has an active Boomkin to give the equivalent buff, make sure he stays happy and active.
[Improved Blessing of Might] useful if no one else has it. Work with your raid to see if you need it. (Always be ready to respec if they need it.)
[Divine Purpose] is optional, depends on how often you like to get out of stuns. Or how often you get into stuns.
[Seal of Command] is a super fun spell and can surpass the other seals on multi-mob fights. Highly situational. If you got a spare point, pick it up.

Other spell aren't listed here are probably mean they are useless, or I forgot them because I dont use them.

Gear.
Most gear look like this
AAA Stam
BBB Strength
CCC Stat1
DDD Stat2

Or have
AAA Stam
BBB Attack Power
CCC Stat1
DDD Stat2
EEE Agility
FFF Intellect

Stam is an unavoidable stat. I make your healer a little happier.
Strength and Attack Power is your number one stat for source of damage.
Agility and Intellect maybe also unavoidable on mail and leather gear. Agi almost gives as much bonus as Crit stat itself.

For the Stat1 and Stat2 follow these rules below:
Stat1 must always be crit. If it isn't, then it probably suck for you. Hold on to it you are under hit cap, or its total AP is just much more awesome.

Stat2 is best used to reach your hit cap (8%) and exp cap(6.5%). If you had an option of over cap or under cap with extra str, then take the under cap and str. Rest of it could be spent on Haste.

Gear changes with new discoveries of new mechanics so dont bog down too much on that. You will get better dps/results from knowing the fight and rotations.

BiS from EJ

Rotation.
Ret paladin uses a Priority rotation (also called by many other names). The principle is simple; use the highest damaging (dps) ability as soon as possible.

Pre T10 2 set.
Judgment > Crusade Strike > Divine Storm > Consecration > Exorcism

Post T10 2 set.
[Sanctified Lightsworn Battleplate]
Judgment > Divine Storm > Crusade Strike > Consecration > Exorcism

More to come...

Active discussions.
What triggers the T10 2Set bonus? How do seals interact? How does
[Bryntroll, the Bone Arbiter] interact? How does armor pent compare to haste?
1.By definition, bad players have to exist.
2.Some players are “bad” because they aren’t meant to play this game.
3.“Bad” players are there to reward the more skilled user.
4.Some “bad” players are simply goofing around.
